Hi, I’m Kalaina — a brand and web designer, and copywriter with a knack for taking scattered ideas and turning them into something stunning, strategic, and ready to launch — fast.
I started Rhode Design Studio to give small business owners a better option. Something between DIY stress and overpriced agencies. Something custom, clean, and actually effective.
My journey started in 2019 when I began designing logos for friends and family just for fun. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a full-blown business — and I haven’t looked back since. After working as a designer for several years and launching a few of my own ventures, I realized that what I love most is helping other people bring their visions to life.
I’m also a mom and wife to a husband who’s been my biggest supporter since day one. I know what it’s like to build a business with limited time, big dreams, and a need to make every dollar count — and that’s exactly who I design for.

We specialize in creating websites on Squarespace and Shopify. We have found that these two platforms are the most user-friendly, particularly for individuals who may not have extensive technical expertise. Additionally, they require minimal maintenance, which can result in significant cost savings for you over time.
